Senator Brian Schatz is accepting fall law clerk applications in his Washington, D.C. office. The program is open to any current law students or recent law graduates from an ABA accredited law school. Law clerks will work with attorneys in the office and they will participate in a variety of projects including: legal research, drafting memoranda that analyzes case law, statutes and legislation, attending briefings, and helping staff prepare for congressional hearings. The office will work with clerks to fulfill requirements for most clinics, externships, and other legal programs. While most of the work is substantive in nature, law clerks are also assigned administrative tasks depending on the needs of the office.

Competitive applicants are motivated, hard-working, well-organized, and have strong written and oral communication skills. The clerkship will run between September 2, 2025 – December 19, 2025, and the deadline for applications is June 30, 2025.
