Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

7 years of experience working in marketing, communications, internal communications, executive communications or a related field (e.g. in PR, journalism, government, political, or nonprofit settings).

Experience managing multiple complex marketing or communications projects at the same time.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience developing/deploying communications and marketing strategies across a global organization to effectively drive change, through a team and outsourced marketing services agencies.

Experience collaborating with and influencing leaders and cross-functional partners through relationships, expertise and sound data.

Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, maintain good judgment and escalate appropriately.

Creative problem-solver, with the ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects autonomously and in an organized fashion, balancing the long-term and urgent needs of the team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write with tact and diplomacy.

About the job

As a Marketing and Communications Manager, supporting Google’s Real Estate and Workplace Services teams across our 150+ offices, you’ll devise and implement creative, inspiring and integrated marketing and communications plans that convey the intentionality behind our iconic services and spaces. You’ll craft narratives that stick and make the complex easy to understand for all audiences using a variety of channels (email, presentations, videos, talking points, articles, websites, social media, live experiences and other Google channels). You’ll also manage communications for cross-functional change initiatives and help leaders communicate effectively with their global, regional and local teams. You’ll track the effectiveness of your plans, using what you've learned to make the process more effective and efficient for future projects. We don’t like to do things again if they don’t work the first time.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work - from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to REWS leaders. Work to establish and implement the marketing, communication and engagement priorities of regional Vendor Partner teams.

Manage multiple complex operational and strategic projects and initiatives, from conception to post mortem. Effectively prioritize across multiple priorities, drawing on sound business judgement and a robust understanding of context and business goals to drive impact and execution, while influencing a regional network of partners.

Arrange campaigns and storytelling opportunities in with broader Real Estate and Workplace Services narrative.

Provides broader REWS knowledge and expertise to support key partners in EMEA and APAC with short- and long-term initiatives that achieve business goals.

Develops and tracks key KPIs for comms efforts.
