Summer Internship – State Representative’s Office

About the Position

Are you passionate about public service and interested in learning how government works? Join Representative Stark's team as a Constituent Affairs Intern! This is a unique opportunity for motivated students to gain firsthand experience in the legislative process, constituent services, and community outreach.


Responsibilities

  • Liaise with local government and state agencies
  • Draft letters, reports, and other written materials
  • Attend and summarize community meetings, hearings, and briefings
  • Support constituent services by responding to inquiries and requests
  • Help plan and promote events and outreach activities
  • Manage and update office communications
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • Open to high school and undergraduate students
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in government, public policy, or community service
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms is a plus
