Position Summary
The No on 2117 campaign is seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Field Director to manage community-based campaign activities to defend Washington state’s leading-edge climate policy. The campaign is supported by environmental and business leaders, labor unions and environmental justice advocates, Tribal Nations, and many others.
The Deputy Field Director will be responsible for working with a team of five or more field organizers assisting them with executing a robust organizing plan in their assigned communities in the state. They will work closely with the Field Director and the Outreach Director to engage our extensive and diverse coalition to achieve the voter outreach goals of the campaign. The position will report to the Field Director.
The position will require campaign hours, including evenings and weekends, and is based in Washington state. Ideally, the organizer will live in the assigned community.
What You Will Do
- Work with the Field Director to build out the statewide field plan that includes both relational and traditional organizing tactics
- Manage the implementation of the field plan, including by guiding field organizers to localize their geographically based field plan that includes both relational and traditional organizing tactics
- Coordinate with the Field Director to ensure ongoing skills development for team members
- Manage the Voter Access Network (VAN)
- Monitor and analyze data on team performance, providing reports to the Field Director and implementing strategies to ensure success.
- Collaborate with organizing teams from partner campaigns and coordinated campaign offices
- Analyze data to track progress in voter contact universes and make data-informed voter outreach decisions
- Contribute to the development and refinement of campaign strategies, ensuring that team activities align with overall objectives.
- Additional duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $6000 to $7500 per month
Benefits: Health care reimbursement and paid sick leave. Additional incentives and benefits may be available.
