About the team

The corporate communications team consists of both internal and external communication pros that deliver communications strategies around business milestones, employee engagement, as well as executive communications, including leadership and company culture social media content. This internship position will report to Zillow Group’s senior social communications specialist, while partnering closely with recruiting, public relations, government affairs, community and culture, brand leads, and other shared services teams to develop an integrated strategy.

About the role

The Zillow Group communications team is looking for a sharp, enthusiastic, hardworking social media intern to support our growing corporate communications team. This is the ideal opportunity for a self-starter looking for hands-on social media experience with a top Seattle tech company. As our social media intern, you’ll have the unique opportunity to learn how social media helps build our employer brand, increase awareness among potential candidates and amplify Zillow Group’s strategic business priorities.

To be successful, you must possess an interest in corporate social media, combined with a solid understanding of current platforms and trends. You should be savvy in the latest communications trends and styles, be able to look around corners and build a long-term social media presence in support of our corporate communications efforts.

Responsibilities:

Write and develop social content and scheduling for our employee lifestyle Instagram page, as well as our Twitter and LinkedIn channels.

Assist with the execution and optimization of a paid amplification budget for content across social platforms.

Monthly reporting on activities, including insights which help sculpt and drive content moving forward.

Directly support multiple teams on a daily basis including PR, recruiting, employee communications, government relations and community & culture.

This is a 12 week summer internship position located in Seattle, WA.

Who you are

Recent or soon-to-be graduate (at least one semester left of school) of a four-year college/university with a degree in marketing, public relations, communications or a related field.

Excellent creative and copywriting skills, with a firm grasp of grammar.

Curious and eager to contribute ideas that help reach new audiences in new and creative ways.

Experience using social media on a daily basis on behalf of a business, club or non-profit organization.

Fluent in, and passionate about, online communities such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

A highly organized multi-tasker who can quickly adapt to the nuances of different mediums and the voice and tone of our employer brand.

Experience with Photoshop and Adobe suite is a plus.
