The Governor's staff includes offices for budgeting, communications and outreach, legal counsel, legislative liaison, operations, policy and research, and scheduling.
Hiring Salary: $53,000-$59,000 annually.

Reviews and schedules all event requests at the residence and manages the Residence calendar.

Oversees all external events and answers questions promptly and provides clear communication with guests and event coordinators.

Assists in the scheduling, planning and execution of all events hosted by the Governor’s Office including events for the Governor and the First Spouse.

Works consistently with the Colorado State Patrol to ensure clear communication and appropriate coverage for events and meetings at the Residence.

Works with the Governor’s office accounting team for all billing associated with the Residence, including invoicing and payments to vendors. Ensures the payments from events and follows up with clients as necessary.

Coordinates with the Governor’s office to ensure all of their dates are held and available for their use. Ensures clear lines of communication between happenings at the Mansion and the Governor’s office.

Leads holiday planning with the Governor’s Office.

Works with the Governor’s Office on any residence-related special initiatives or projects.

Manages the daily maintenance of the residence and upkeep of the grounds and landscaping. Coordinates with the Department of Personnel and Administration and external vendors all on-going renovations and restoration projects and continued evaluation of existing facilities.

Understanding of the history of the residence and its historical contents, the rules that must be adhered to and policies concerning the use of the Residence.

Filling in various roles that are needed at the residence ranging from housekeeping, event set up and planning, maintenance, etc. and ability to have a flexible schedule including night time events and some weekends.

Other duties as assigned.

2 years experience in professional Household Management or 2 years experience in event planning.

Ability to establish and maintain effective personal relationships with peers, supervisory staff, and other departments and agencies; demonstrate exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to exercise tact, courtesy and discretion with public officials at various levels of authority and influence as well as the general public.

Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple issues and projects in a very fast-paced environment.

Ability to perform a variety of duties daily, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Proven ability to work independently and make sound judgments on a day-to-day basis, as well as make informed decisions on behalf of the Governor’s Office.

Proficiency with Google Products, Word, Excel, and website management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to excel in a very fast-paced, ever-changing professional environment.
