Securing America’s Future Energy Foundation seeks a Transportation Policy and Strategy Manager for its Washington, DC office. (Telecommuting permitted. Requires domestic travel to Washington, DC and other unanticipated locations up to 25%.)

Job Duties:
Conduct in-depth transportation policy research and analysis to support and develop cross-sector policy proposals and solutions. Define strategic geographic-specific and global goals and develop roadmaps to guide ReMo (Reimagined Mobility) towards achieving defined goals. Analyze global best practices to develop policy recommendations and solutions for critical global mobility challenges. Compose a range of written materials for advocacy and information, along with research and analysis. Manage academic, consulting, and corporate project partners to ensure a consistent and on-time set of deliverables. Perform outreach to potential funders, based on research on common interests and priorities. Maintain relationships with current and potential partners. Work with development team to craft approaches for funding proposals. Telecommuting permitted. Requires domestic travel to Washington, DC and other unanticipated locations up to 25%.

Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Public Policy, or a related field.

Five years of experience as a Transportation Planner, City and Regional Planner, Urban Planner, or a related occupation, including:

  • Five years of experience conducting policy research and analysis and developing policy proposals for transportation issues.
  • Five years of experience analyzing, evaluating and advocating for transportation policy issues within a transportation-specific public agency, legislative body, non-profit, or in government affairs.
  • Five years of experience developing and publishing peer-reviewed policy research for transportation issues.
  • Five years of experience creating advocacy support materials, including talking points, blogs, and policy briefs.
  • Three years of experience performing analytical research leading to transportation policy outcomes.

Experience may be gained concurrently. Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable.
