The Georgia House Democrats are seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Call Time Manager (with the opportunity for a promotion to Deputy Finance Director) for Georgia Blue PAC for the 2024 Election Cycle. This is a mid-level position, which reports to the Finance Director and works in conjunction with the House Democratic Leader and the leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have at least one cycle of experience as a finance or campaign staffer with legislative, statewide, or national campaigns, political groups, or non-profits and an eagerness to learn creative and effective fundraising strategies in support of Democrats in every level of government. Experience fundraising in Georgia and/or working on behalf of a targeted legislative campaign or federal campaign or caucus committee is preferred but not required.

About the Call Time Manager role:

The Call Time Manager / Deputy Finance Director will play a critical role in building a sustainable fundraising operation that will position Georgia House Democrats to compete in 2024 and beyond. They will be charged with staffing candidate and incumbent call time, tracking fundraising calls and commitments, following up with donors, and generally assisting the execution of the 2024 finance plan. They should be forward-thinking, strategic-driven, skilled in managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining keen attention to detail, and comfortable building and maintaining relationships with the House Democratic Leadership Team and other Members.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of the call time revenue stream in the Georgia Blue PAC fundraising plan; including soliciting $500+ contributions
  • Manage the call time calendar and daily finance call time for the team, including identifying strategic targets for call time, preparing lists and call sheets, tracking call results, completing donor follow-up via email and phone, and ensuring that all aspects of call time are completed;
  • Assist in identifying and scheduling meetings between current and prospective donors with House Democratic Leadership and other Members, collaborating on pitch decks with senior staff, preparing memos in advance of meetings, and staffing meetings with Members when necessary;
  • Help organize logistics for fundraising events, including researching venues, coordinating with hosts on needs, set-up and take-down, and staffing;
  • Complete donor research and develop Georgia House Democrats’s donor network as it relates to acquisition, onboarding, cultivation/engagement, and retention from existing donors as well those acquired via all methods, especially digital;
  • Build and maintain systems for call time, donor follow-up, and re-solicitation by the House Democratic Leader and the broader leadership team;
  • Coach Members, candidates, and staff for targeted districts in effective fundraising strategies, including rolodexing, call time, effective messaging and scripts, and event management; and,
  • Update the Finance Director, Executive Director, Leadership Team, Compliance Consultants, and relevant stakeholders on managed revenue streams, cash flow, and projections;

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 cycles of campaign fundraising experience, including internships or fellowships;
  • Effective people manager who is able to engage and motivate Members and candidates;
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative approach to problem-solving;
  • Organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail;
  • Able to perform in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Ability to be flexible in dynamic situations and help build a lasting campaign committee infrastructure; and,
  • Proven ability to execute campaign fundraising efforts.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience managing staff with a demonstrated willingness to empower and support staff to be leaders in their own right;
  • Experience building a large-or significantly scaling a nascent fundraising operation.

  • Working from a computer for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work extensive hours outside of normal operating hours
  • State-wide travel is expected. Reimbursement of mileage will be at the rate of $0.56 per mile, monthly.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for the Call Time Manager position is $45,000-$55,000 on an annualized basis and is negotiable, commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
