Director of Strategic Partnerships
We are looking for a Strategic Partnership Director to develop and execute partnership programs that nurture and grow existing relationships with national organizations (I.e., Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity International, AFP), as well as establish and steward new relationships with nonprofit consultants, foundations, and corporations that will open new market opportunities and accelerate our hyper-growth.
The Strategic Partnership Director will lead the identification of potential partners, negotiate agreements, and ensure mutually beneficial relationships to drive business growth. The right individual for this role has an entrepreneurial mindset, clear vision, ability to lead projects independently from conceptualization to completion, and an extensive network in the industry.
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years with proven achievements in nonprofit management, nonprofit business development, and nonprofit consulting, with a focus on strategic partnerships, business or corporate development.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to develop and execute an account plan, including goals, metrics, strategy, and implementation.
- Work independently but transparently with clear and consistent communication of weekly/monthly goals, progress, and outcomes.
- Expertise in negotiating and executing contracts, balancing short-term wins, long-term upside opportunities, and risk.
- Expertise in creating and designing written content and facilitating meetings, webinars, and informational sessions.
- Significant experience in relationship-building, generating revenue growth, and identifying new opportunities for added value.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to identify high-value opportunities and create partner content.
- Enthusiastic team player who can lead projects independently from conceptualization to completion.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills.
- You are not afraid of wearing many hats and are willing to experiment with new methodologies.
- You are very organized and have a results-oriented mindset.
- You thrive in small teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current partnership successes and create a strategy to expand them based on the company's business objectives and partners' goals.
- Identify key accounts and continually build relationships with national organizations, foundations, and corporate contacts at all levels and functions, including senior leadership, to create 2-3 new partnership relationships annually.
- Research, develop, and execute partnership programs for nonprofit consultants.
- Research, develop, and execute partnership programs with other businesses that complement our core product.
- Efficiently manage a continuous pipeline of new partner opportunities to meet business goals through monthly reporting, effective communication across teams about partner activities, and ensuring follow-through on partner administration and onboarding.
- Utilize various tactics, including cold outreach and online and in-person networking, to build relationships with key account decision-makers and establish themselves as a thought leader in the nonprofit technology space.
- Proactively utilize LinkedIn to identify and network with potential partners, promote Giveffect partnership opportunities, and share partnership success stories and outcomes.
- Drive meetings and collaboration across the Giveffect team and partners.
- Identify and attend key conferences and networking events across the US for Giveffect to attend.
- Meet and exceed pipeline and revenue quota from your portfolio of partners.
- Serve as primary contact for external partners, coordinating across internal teams (Sales, Client Success, Communications, Marketing, Operations) to ensure programs are effectively executed and all objectives are fully satisfied.
- Negotiate partnership terms and create contracts in collaboration with key internal teams.
- Develop Partnership onboarding in collaboration with the Client Success team.
Compensation Package
- $70,000 - $120,000 USD
- Bonus (2 times/year)
