Job Description
Brad Schwartz is running for state senate in one of New York's the most competitive districts. A former Editor and Producer of Emmy Winning television, Brad's path was altered when was struck by a debilitating illness that gave him a fist-hand look at the private healthcare system. The experience motivated his transition into policy research as he became determined to find ways to re-conceptualize the complex challenges facing our states and federal government.
Brad holds a double masters degree in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins SAIS and is a doctoral scholar specializing in the impact of disinformation on democracy.
Brad is eager to invite interns onto on his campaign from around the country who have an interest in government or policy, or who would like to learn about how campaigns are run. The most important qualification is a desire to take an active role in the democratic process!
Intern Responsibilities:
- The main responsibility of interns will be direct communication with prospective voters.
- Familiarize voters with Brad and his stance on key issues & assess voter sentiment.
Hours are very flexible, with the strongest applicants being available at least 10 hours a week. Remote and in-person positions are available. This is a non paid position and our staff will work with interns to obtain college credit for the internship when applicable.
