Job Description
The Deputy Director of Strategic Communications works closely with the Director of Strategic Communications to help manage the organization and everyday work of the Strategic Communications team, drive message consistency across the entire organization, and support the work of the entire Biden-Harris 2024 Communications Team.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Maintain an organizational system for the department’s internal and external communications materials, including ensuring they are updated on a daily basis.
- Work across departments to oversee and help ensure message consistency throughout campaign communications.
- Draft both external and internal communications materials.
- Craft message guidance and daily talking points for surrogates.
- Support other departments, including policy, political, digital and organizing with communications materials for their needs.
- Support the communications team with producing materials for press and communications components for campaign principals, including drafting memos, talking points, written statements, and more.
- Other duties as assigned.
