Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) seeks a Staff Assistant to work in her front office in Washington, DC. As the first point of contact for many Washington state constituents, the ideal candidate will be friendly and outgoing, highly organized, and able to creatively manage novel and potentially challenging situations.

Successful applicants are also expected to dependably complete office duties with timeliness and precision. Among other tasks, the Staff Assistant is responsible for answering phone calls, greeting meetings and visitors, processing mail, managing constituent requests for flags and tours, maintaining office supply orders, managing the D.C. office’s internship program, and helping other DC staff with miscellaneous tasks and initiatives.

The starting salary for this role is $50,000 plus benefits.
