Policy Director

We are looking for a Policy Director to join our Policy & Legal team. This person will be responsible for:

  • Managing & covering all assigned issues affecting the life insurance industry.
  • Managing policy development and implementation relating to assigned issues.
  • Staffing assigned committees/subcommittees/working groups.
  • Providing technical/substantive assistance and support to internal ACLI staff and member

companies personnel.

The ideal candidate will have five to eight years of relevant experience in life insurance and financial services

industry. Preference for insurance industry experience in artificial intelligence, information and data privacy

and cybersecurity. Should have familiarity with a wide range of insurance company products and services

and knowledge of state and federal legislative and regulatory processes. Strong analytical and

communication skills and ability to transform issues and arguments into technically accurate written

documents and presentations that are understandable and persuasive. Ability to establish and maintain

good working relationships and to lead and participate in teams. Experience in consensus building. PC

proficiency in a Windows environment. Law degree preferred, but not required.
