TikTok has global offices including Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo. We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our growing Communications Team. As the Communications Director, Trust & Safety, you will be responsible for: - Working within the TikTok Product groups and across verticals to develop press strategies around high profile and developing situations in the US related to the Trust & Safety efforts of the company - Communicating strategy and other major announcements with media and customers - Handling litigation communication and crisis management - Building and leading the US communication Trust & Safety team that will work closely with product teams to communicate the advantages and features of the product - Engaging with media and arrange US speaking opportunities for senior executives - Establishing processes to connect global PR teams and agencies to best practices from our efforts in the United States - Ensuring that key messaging and narratives embed with international teams and spokespeople - Advising internal cross-functional partners in engineering, product, policy, legal, and other groups on communications considerations for product updates

Qualifications

- 10+ years of relevant communication, public relations, and crisis management experience in US, with experience working with media directly - Proven ability to deliver work autonomously as well as along side cross-functional global teams - Team leader who can develop the skills of team members in building media relationships - Manages multiple projects simultaneously as well as being responsive to global situations - Track record of successfully building reputation for a technology start-up - Experience in multinational companies
