Meta is looking for an individual to join its Content Policy Team. The team’s mission is to create and communicate rules for how our products may be used by people on Meta and its family of applications. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for policies that focus on consumer safety and regulatory compliance. As a member of the Content Policy team, you will work closely with a number of other teams at Meta and Instagram, including our Global Operations, Product, Legal, Communications, and Public Policy teams. You will be responsible for helping our team craft and implement content standards that best serve the company and the people who use our services globally. It is critical that you are able to analyze and communicate the costs and benefits of refinements to content policies at Meta and their implementation, and be comfortable making difficult decisions under pressure.


Policy Manager, Content Responsibilities:

  • Help craft and implement content policies that take into account regulatory compliance with the needs of a global community.
  • Collaborate with Policy, Product, Operations, Communications and External Stakeholders to drive policy improvements.
  • Articulate policy philosophy and changes to relevant parties, including both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify gaps in existing policies and develop scalable solutions.
  • Join the policy on-call roster to help field policy questions on high priority escalations, with an expectation to think critically about complex problems and exercise excellent judgment under time pressure.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in online safety and/or content policy
  • Experience working on a global team
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience communicating cross-functionally, particularly in the area of consensus-building
  • Experience in analytical-thinking and problem-solving



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in content regulation
  • Knowledge of Meta products and principles
