As the External Communications, Co-Brand Card Vice President you will be part of an award-winning communications team supporting the #1 credit card issuer in the US, managing external communications/public relations and play an integral role in shaping the go-to-market strategies and messaging for a number of our co-brand credit card portfolios across industries including travel, entertainment and on-demand delivery, as well as some of our exciting features, enhancements and offers that add value across all of our card portfolios.

As the External Communications, Co-Brand Card Vice President you will critically consider the 360 integrated marketing/communications approach, develop and execute breakthrough campaigns and tell compelling stories with a fresh, modern and human voice. And have some fun along the way.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, present and execute strategic and tactical communications/public relations campaigns that lead business outcomes
  • Serve as strategic communications counsel to Chase co-brand card business team leaders and managers
  • Collaborate with internal and external Chase marketing support teams (social, brand/advertising, video, content), business leaders, external partners (business and PR teams at co-brand partners) and support agencies to tell a holistic story
  • Manage communications/PR agency on campaign execution and measurement
  • Coordinate with internal communications team members to pull through meaningful storylines within Chase
  • Assist on talent and influencer management for PR purposes, as applicable
  • Protect and enhance the reputation of the firm – both externally and among employees
  • Some domestic travel required

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in a communications/PR or marketing role; experience working in the financial services, credit cards or consumer product industries
  • Proven experience in proactive and reactive media relations, and proactively executing public relations campaigns that resulted in positive press coverage and support business results
  • Relationships with lifestyle and/or business/finance media; experience managing influencer programs
  • Superior writing and editing skills with an expertise telling a story visually (PowerPoint); executive presence and presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship building and collaborative decision-making skills; the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with teams, internal stakeholders / senior leaders and external partners
  • Building meaningful narratives and storylines
  • Outstanding judgment and interpersonal skills, including partnering effectively with executives, peers and other functional groups across the company, as well as our external co-brand partners
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and keep deliverables on track / flag potential delays
  • High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrating respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and taking accountability / accepting responsibility
  • Fluency across social media and other multi-media channels; experience with applying measurement tools to demonstrate success
  • Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility and adaptability. We need a go-getter with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines – and sometimes outside traditional business hours.

  • Experience working in a large company
  • Experience in a PR agency setting
  • Executive communications experience – consulting directly with an executive/leaders
  • Experience working on an integrated marketing team
