The Committee on Energy and Natural Resources is accepting applications for a research assistant to support energy-focused professional staff members. Primary responsibilities include conducting research on the full range of energy topics within the Committee’s jurisdiction; preparing daily and weekly energy reports; drafting memos regarding legislative proposals, Committee hearings and energy-related subjects; coordinating hearing and markup logistics; and administrative and organizational tasks. The ideal applicant is a self-starter, a strong written communicator, extremely detailed oriented, able to work collaboratively, and eager to learn and hit the ground running. Candidates must be able to handle multiple projects at once. Prior Hill experience a plus. Applications close at 5pm on Monday, April 29.
