Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

15+ years dealing with the international legislative and regulatory policy process, preferable within the technology industry.

15+ years of experience in advocacy and using spoken and written arguments to persuade and inform.

The International Public Policy Senior Manager will be part of a Central Strategy Team, and be able to immediately and directly enhance Amazon’s advocacy on a broad range of digital-related public policy issues. Like our business interests, our policy issues are broad, forward-thinking, and driven by what is best for our customers.

The International Public Policy Senior Manager will research, define, execute, and manage key global public policy issues. Working with the Central Team's Director of International Public Policy and the entire International Public Policy team, the Senior Manager will develop Amazon positions on digital policy issues, communicate with consultants and trade associations, and represent the company at conferences and meetings.

The position is based in Seattle, Washington.

Advanced degree in relevant field.

Availability to travel domestically and internationally, as appropriate.

Strong writing skills.

Strong knowledge of a wide variety of digital policy issues, including content and streaming services regulation.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate their experience through previous work within companies, consultancies, trade associations, the government, or equivalent organizations.

Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at all corporate and political levels. Ability to create factual, relevant and easily understandable talking points and other messaging, and persuasively deliver it to relevant audiences.

Maintain highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity, with strongest professional reputation in the industry.

Self-starter who can take general direction and produce specific results.

Ability to identify and understand key technical aspects pertaining to corporate operations in legislative and regulatory proposals, understand business implications, and synthesize policy documents for internal and external customers. You can think critically, process data from multiple sources, forecast potential scenarios, prioritize based on probability and desired outcome, and recommend a best course of action.

Ability to influence, negotiate with, and effectively persuade others is required. Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment / decision-making skills, and political acumen and awareness.
