Overview:
The Biden for President campaign is seeking a Senior Research Associate to assist the campaign’s opposition research program. The Senior Research Associate will play a crucial role in executing research plans, translating raw research findings into communications and digital-ready material, and helping build and maintain research books. Additionally, this position must possess the political knowledge necessary to develop creative avenues for investigative research into the campaign’s opponents. This is not an entry level position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute investigative research plans.
  • Develop concise, factual, and thematic research documents that create compelling narratives about the campaign’s opponents.
  • Gather, analyze, and convey information from a variety of sources and databases.
  • Consistently identify opportunities for deeper research and focus.
  • Clearly report results and findings to senior staff.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in political research. This could include campaigns, political advocacy, political committees or experience on Capitol Hill or in government.
  • Fluency in politics and the daily news cycle is a must in order to understand and explain the relevance of events and findings.
  • Deep experience with primary source materials and research databases.
  • Strong ability to formulate clear and concise narratives and arguments in writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines are a must.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus on multiple projects.

Additional Useful Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in investigative or archival research is a huge plus
