Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is seeking a foreign policy Legislative Assistant (LA) to join the Office’s national security team.

  • The LA’s primary role is to handle issues related to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the State Department on behalf of Sen. Cruz.
  • The LA will be responsible for activities and written products related to the portfolio, including hearings and business meetings, legislation, and engagement with relevant constituents and outside groups.
  • The most qualified candidates will have significant prior experience working on national security in the Senate or House. This position is not entry level.
  • Qualified candidates with strong writing skills will be given significant preference.
