Job Description

The Boeing Company, National Strategy and Engagement is seeking a Government Relations Specialist. This level 3 position will be based out of our Arlington VA location.

Responsibilities

  • Support critical operations activities for the NS&E Vice President and Chief of Staff.
  • Drafts reports, presentations and documentation (e.g., memos, local/state/Federal reporting requirements) for senior leaders at The Boeing Company.
  • Provide coordination, research, analysis in support of the NS&E team working with a variety of internal
  • and external stakeholders.
  • Track legislation/regulations/public policy issues and route information to subject matter experts for review.
  • Represents the NS&E at selected planning events.
  • Coordinates and assists Political Mobilization and Strategy and Action team by providing information as needed.
  • Coordinates with internal subject matter experts (e.g., legislative, federal budget, taxes, energy, labor, product sales, trade) and the overall company position in order to provide government relations guidance and incorporate operating group requirements.
  • Provides assistance and coordination to the government relations company-wide focals on issues regarding the impact of government's activities.

Qualifications

Typical Education and Experience

Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Experience utilizing the following MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Experience analyzing, assessing and interpreting various types of data to produce detailed quick analyses to senior and executive management

Experience in the use of research tools and methods

Experience compiling and presenting data, issues, and resolutions to senior leaders, including executives

Experience in a role that required strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Bachelors of Arts degree in Public Policy or Government Relations or Political Science or International Studies
