$80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

The candidate will be working directly for the Chairman and CEO of a major family office who, in addition to his responsibilities leading an investment team, is a prominent commentator on economic and other public policy issues through regular Op-Eds for a prestigious national publication, weekly appearances on a well-known cable news program, and other media. This work focuses on topical economic and political matters of the day, including the macroeconomy, monetary and fiscal policy, income inequality, globalization, automation, health care and the like. The politics of these issues are central to his work.


The ideal candidate must have a good grounding in basic economics and the associated policy questions. Strong skills in gathering data and helping assemble it into charts and tables are also important. The position entails being a quick study; it is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role that requires great attention to detail and accuracy. An aptitude for using social media – particularly X (f/k/a Twitter) – is important.


Candidate will have relevant educational background. Work experience is valued but not essential. Writing and journalistic skills would be a plus. Since, last minute projects occasionally pop up, some scheduling flexibility is desirable. Candidate is intended to work a minimum of 4 days per week onsite from our New York City office.


Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus. The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting and the compensation could be higher with commensurate experience. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
