We’re looking for an ambitious candidate who is comfortable running large-scale digital paid media programs in social media, search, and programmatic advertising platforms to join DSPolitical’s Media Planning team as a Director of Media Planning! You will support the conception, execution, and management of digital paid media campaigns across our largest partners.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Working with some of the firm’s largest clients, implementing 7 and 8-figure media buys for high-profile public affairs accounts, sometimes working directly with end clients, and other times interfacing with advertising agencies.
- Full service media planning across premium channels such as YouTube and Hulu, social channels such as Facebook and Instagram, and DSPolitical’s core programmatic offerings.
- Working with clients to design and implement in-field randomized control trials designed to measure the efficacy of digital advertising tactics and strategies.
- Staying up to date with industry trends relating to the largest players in advertising technology, shifting media allocations as necessary.
- Working with the client services and business development departments to develop media plans and strategy for new and existing clients.
- Interfacing with clients to understand polling targets, what audiences are well covered with traditional media (e.g. TV, radio, mail), and what audiences need digital treatment.
- Acting as senior-level point of contact with selected clients and vendors.
- Attracting, retaining, and improving media buying and planning talent through effective management, mentorship, and training.
- Working efficiently across numerous clients through effective communication, project management, and creative problem-solving.
- Providing oversight and recommendations for optimization of paid media campaigns across multiple advertising channels.
- Creating and managing internal team documentation and processes, training the team on media buying processes and best practices, and working towards continuous process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience managing digital paid media strategy, planning on seven-figure electoral and/or public affairs campaigns, and coordinating with non-digital paid media programs.
- Hands-on experience with search, social, and programmatic buying platforms including not limited to: Facebook Ads, Google Adwords and at least one major demand side platform.
- Passion for planning and managing digital advertising campaigns and who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with, or knowledge of, in-field randomized control trials relating to digital persuasion, digital GOTV, or digital voter registration.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, along with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and offer and implement solutions.
- Relevant project management experience required.
- Experience managing remote staff and those in multi-site organizations is strongly preferred.

Office Hours
This position is remote friendly. We work on a hybrid basis at our office locations with many team members working entirely from home. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
