Job Title: Digital Associate 

Reports To: Director of Digital Advocacy

Location: Washington, DC

 

Position Overview:

As the Digital Associate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our online presence, building community engagement, and driving advocacy efforts through strategic social media campaigns. This position will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing social media channels, monitoring conversations, and executing targeted outreach initiatives to mobilize supporters and influence public opinion on key political issues.


Digital Associate Job Description:

  • Create and draft daily social media content for Heritage Action’s social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, Gettr, TruthSocial, YouTube, and Rumble).
  • Create and maintain weekly digital team document to track HAFA’s digital products.
  • Draft text for written and visual products, including digital toolkits, call scripts, video scripts, emails, comment portals, graphics, & text messages.
  • Work with graphic designers to develop quality digital content (graphics and videos). 
  • Track social media analytics to identify trends and inform digital strategy.
  • Support the Heritage Action federal and state lobbying teams by monitoring legislative action and creating relevant digital content.
  • Coordinate with Heritage Action Communications Team to ensure timely amplification of Heritage Action press products, television news hits, and press mentions.
  • Maintain awareness of Heritage Action events, Hill events, and Heritage Foundation events. Provide digital support as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of the daily news cycle and current events, looking for opportunities to promote Heritage Action products, campaigns, and messaging priorities.
  • Coordinate with Heritage Foundation Communications teams to track Heritage Foundation products for collaboration or amplification.
  • Maintain and update brand websites with new materials as needed.
  • Provide digital support to all Heritage Action teams as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Political Science, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of proven experience in social media management or rapid response.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling content.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated team player with a passion for advancing conservative causes and making a positive impact.
