Job Description
The Office of Congressman Ruben Gallego is seeking a Legislative Assistant based in Washington, D.C. The Legislative Assistant will be responsible for handling a broad portfolio of issues that includes but is not limited to Financial Services, Banking, Housing, Judiciary, Education, and Small Business.
Responsibilities include: developing and advancing legislation and policy priorities of the Member, monitoring legislative developments, advising the Member on policy issues, drafting talking points, and representing the Member in meetings and events.
This is not an entry level position. Qualified candidates should have at least one to two years of legislative, policy, or similar experience. This position is based in Washington, DC.
