We are seeking a full-time Associate Director with strategic and digital communications experience to join our team in San Francisco, CA. This role will focus on crafting narratives, shaping public opinion, and driving communications strategy for clients in a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high-stakes communications and public affairs campaigns that operate at the intersection of business, technology, and policy.
  • Help our Managing Director and clients shape public narratives through a range of media channels, from earned to owned to in-between.
  • Produce high-caliber content like white papers, press statements, social media posts, and internal memos.

Experience Requirements

  • 6+ years in a role straddling communications and public affairs, either in-house or agency-side, particularly with experience in high-stakes, high-scrutiny topics.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
  • Prior experience in assuming complete ownership of a specific component within a communications and public affairs campaign.

Preferred Skills

  • In-depth understanding of both traditional and social media landscapes and skill to customize strategic approaches and tactics to meet specific client communication objectives.
  • Proven capability in project management, adept at juggling multiple initiatives while leading a team to meet tight deadlines and maintain exceptional quality.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt style and tone based on the audience.

BPI offers a comprehensive total compensation package for this role of $90,000-$130,000 with an annual discretionary bonus and generous benefits. Estimated starting base salary will be based on level of experience.
