Job Description
The Office of Senator-elect Adam Schiff is seeking a Correspondence Manager with management experience, excellent writing and organizational skills, and a dogged determination to make sure every constituent receives a response.
The Correspondence Manager will manage the office’s mailroom, develop and implement a plan for managing the office mail, train and supervise staff processing and drafting mail, and ensure that senior leadership is kept abreast of the office’s mail operation. The Correspondence manager will work with interns, staff assistants and legislative correspondents to stay informed of recent public policy issues, draft letters and assist the legislative team with research projects, as needed. Once the mail operation is up and running, there is an opportunity to take on a more robust legislative role. Applicants should have 2-4 years of previous Hill, campaign experience or other relevant policy expertise. Proficiency in IQ and a public policy background are strongly preferred. Previous experience as a Senate legislative correspondent required. California ties are a plus should be noted. .
This is a full-time in-person position. Salary begins at $68,000. This position is eligible for all Senate employee benefits. Senator-elect Schiff’s office is an equal opportunity employer.
