The position is to be filled as soon as possible with a contract duration of one year to cover parental leave. You can work from Bonn or Berlin, Germany, and flexible home office options are possible at any time in coordination with your Team Lead.

Donations are crucial for Welthungerhilfe's fight against hunger and poverty. Our goal #zerohunger can only be achieved with many partners & supporters. As Account Manager, you will look after major donors who can make a significant contribution to achieving our global goals.

Your responsibilities

  • Strategic donor support: You maintain existing relationships with our donors, secure long-term partnerships and identify opportunities for expansion
  • Proposal preparation:Together with our colleagues worldwide, you will develop customized project proposals
  • Project report coordination: You will organize the creation of reports and presentations that make our work transparent and attractive for existing and future foundations.

Your profile

  • Education and experience: You have a university/college degree or comparable qualification and at least 3 years of professional experience, e.g. in marketing, key account management or in an NGO.
  • Empathy and adaptability: You work in a variety of different contexts and interact with a wide range of people. Every situation requires your appropriate behaviour adapted to the context.
  • Initiative:You work independently, proactively and enjoy contributing and implementing new ideas.
  • Enthusiasm for our goals: You share our passion for social justice and want to actively contribute to fighting hunger and poverty worldwide.
  • Strong communication skills:You know how to explain complex topics clearly and lively in German and English so that our supporters feel understood and well advised. You enjoy being in regular contact with them by phone and discussing their concerns professionally.
