Job Description
The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a legislative assistant or policy advisor for economic issues, including tax, trade, financial services, labor, retirement / pensions, and small business issues. The ideal candidate has a background in economic policy issues (background in tax policy is a plus), congressional or executive branch experience, and a track record of coalition building and achieving bipartisan legislative success, with strong relationships across government. Oversight experience and California ties are a plus, and should be noted.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advising the Senator-elect about economic issues and developments, representing the Senator-elect in meetings with high-level representatives, developing new and existing policy priorities with an eye towards bipartisan success, and working with stakeholders both in state and DC to advance policy priorities.
This is a full-time in-person position. Salary commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for all Senate employee benefits.
