The Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs directs and supports the Company’s federal government affairs program in the United States, including federal government relations, public policy development, political contributions, compliance, advocacy, and operations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.

Collaborate with SVP Federal Government Affairs to set strategic vision for government relations at the federal level

Lead and support a comprehensive federal government affairs agenda that supports the Company’s brand, mission, vision, and values

Direct and evaluate government affairs compliance across domestic jurisdictions, including corporate governance and risk management.

Cultivate new and strengthen existing relationships with the Company’s stakeholders, including elected officials, public-sector leadership, private-sector partners, and other opinion leaders

Represent the company at high-level federal affairs meetings in Washing D.C

Other job related duties as requested

SUPERVISION:

Washington D.C. based government affairs staff

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Federal or relevant State public policy, including in government or private practice

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent education and work experience

Familiarity with broad range of public policy issues

PREFERRED:

Master’s or J.D. degree
