Job Description
Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA), member of the Judiciary Committee and incoming Chairman of the Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Law, seeks an experienced Counsel. Primary responsibilities include researching and writing legal memos and briefs; developing and drafting legislation; developing and composing oversight letters; and meeting with stakeholders. Candidates must be exceptionally strong writers, detail-oriented, self-starters, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in investigations, such as working for an oversight committee or as a prosecutor, is a plus. Georgia ties preferred but not required. The expected starting annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 with eligibility for benefits.
