As the Western Region Account Manager for the InterExchange J-1 Visa Work & Travel USA program, you’ll play a key role in creating job opportunities for international participants in the West, including areas like the Colorado, Utah, and Pacific Northwest ski regions. In this role, you’ll build relationships with potential employers, collaborate with our Marketing, Technology, and program teams, and contribute to strategies that strengthen existing partnerships.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop new partnerships with qualified host employers and businesses throughout the U.S. by:
- Identify potential target areas and employers who meet U.S. State Department program regulations and InterExchange placement criteria for the J-1 Work & Travel program
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing employers throughout the region.
- Provide potential employers with detailed information about the benefits of the Work & Travel USA program. This includes strategically locating and cultivating leads as well as following up with inquiries via phone and email, attending relevant industry conferences, trade shows and seminars and speaking to small groups of employers at InterExchange-sponsored events.
- Conduct market research, and communicate with program stakeholders, to cultivate a strong ongoing understanding of seasonal housing options/market within the region.
- Use relevant data to create lead generation reports and sales reports on a scheduled basis.
- Conduct market research to target outreach to relevant industries and locations.
- Produce competitive analysis reports.
- Form and continue relationships with local international student outreach committees in popular seasonal areas and develop seasonal educational employer forums and/or networking events.
- Coordinate with Program Managers/Directors and Work & Travel USA Regional Managers to ensure excellent program support is provided for new and current employers.
- Conduct employer visits to assess employer needs in order to maintain quality business relationships.
- Organize and facilitate informational webinars, group and individual calls.
- Assist the Marketing team with developing innovative content for marketing campaigns geared toward current and potential employers.
- Facilitate local cultural events when necessary.
- Provide ongoing support for improvements in employer outreach, communication, and retention.
- Other responsibilities as necessary.
Our ideal Account Manager will have the following skills & experience:
- Prior experience in sales or public relations is required; experience in the ski industry is a plus. Experience in corporate recruiting is also welcome.
- Strong communication skills, including writing, phone, and in-person interactions, with a preference for cold calling experience.
- Excellent public speaking skills; confident in presenting to diverse audiences at trade shows, conferences, and during employer visits.
- Strong administrative skills, including managing vetting processes and handling a high volume of phone calls.
- Proficient in corporate communication platforms; experience with Google Suite, HubSpot, and Intercom is preferred.
- Skilled in coordinating programs across multiple time zones.
Ability to build lasting business relationships, deliver exceptional customer service, and approach problem-solving with a solutions-oriented mindset.

- Be willing to and find joy in travel regularly to employer sites, trade shows, conferences, and other industry-related events when deemed necessary throughout the U.S.
- Be passionate about the benefits of international cultural exchange and find worth and meaning in the programs sponsored by InterExchange.
- Be willing to work with internal program team members and across organizational departments to meet program and organizational goals as well as employer needs.
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S for any employer, without sponsorship
When & Where you'll work:
- Fully remote position, based in the Western region of the US, ideally Washington State, Utah, or Colorado
- Monday to Friday; 9:00-5:00 pm EST, option for flexible start and end times.
- Approximately 35 hours a week, and up to 40 depending on project load and seasonality
- Travel: 20% - 30% (more as necessary)
