GOPAC achieves its mission by providing guidance and intense interactive training to Republican elected leaders, candidates and campaign staff. GOPAC also provides financial resources to promising candidates in competitive statewide and state legislative elections. Position Scope and Responsibilities

The Finance Director is responsible for the overall management of the corporate and individual donor fundraising programs. This position holds significant responsibility for meeting the GOPAC fundraising goals. Primary responsibilities include donor recruitment and development, current donor communication and retention, as well as data management and analysis. Specific duties may include but are not limited to the following:

 

•           Research and analyze data to identify and qualify appropriate targets for campaigns, special events, and other strategies for solicitation, stewardship, and recognition.

 

•           Recruit, develop and solicit individual and corporate donors and prospects; organize and manage relationships with GOPAC Board, members, donors, volunteers, staff and GOPAC leadership.

 

•           Create customized communications for prospects, donors, members and partners.

 

•           Prepare written proposals, cases for support, or other presentation materials to support events or individual meetings.

 

•           Work with GOPAC leadership to establish and implement a corporate giving plan, including the development and management of a corporate giving structure and pipeline.

 

•           Develop, manage and expand communications and benefits for donor programs.

 

•           Plan and execute high-dollar events for major donors and national elected officials in

             Washington, DC, and around the country.

 

•           Create opportunities and support the fundraising efforts of the GOPAC Board of Directors, GOPAC members, and individual donors to assist in solicitation and fundraising for the GOPAC organization.

 

•           Participate in the development and implementation of short and long-term strategic planning and fundraising, as well as the development of projections, progress, and status tracking reports.

 

•           Plan and attend events to recruit potential partners, investors, existing donors and members.

 

•           Anticipate, track and monitor budgets, and assess additional opportunities and future benchmarks.

 

•           Implement a major gifts plan to retain and renew current donors while identifying and acquiring prospective donors.

 

•           Work with GOPAC leadership to establish and regularly monitor revenue and cash flow projections.

 

•           Create fundraising correspondence and materials such as letters, emails, newsletters, proposals, PowerPoint presentations, and reports for distribution to prospective and current donors, members and legislators.

 

•           Build, maintain, manage and lead the GOPAC fundraising team.

 

Required Skills & Experiences:

      •   Minimum of ten years of demonstrated political fundraising experience with extensive relationships and networks of political, corporate and elected leaders throughout the nation and in Washington, DC.

      •   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

      •   Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills.

      •   Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

      •   Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

      •   Motivation to take initiative, work independently, and as a member of a fantastic team.

      •   Capacity to understand complex and unfamiliar subjects and knowledge of word processing, and spreadsheet programs and general familiarity with database management.

 

NOTE: This full-time position is based in Arlington, VA. Candidates to be considered must reside in the area or be available to relocate. There will be occasional evening and weekend events as well as travel.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree or recognized credentials or achievements from professional fundraising organizations preferred.

 

Compensation:              

Commensurate with experience. Benchmark bonus structure and/or commission. GOPAC comprehensive benefits package applicable.
