Job Description
Center Forward is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to fill a hybrid role that supports the responsibilities of a Program Manager and the Outreach and Engagement Manager. This role is integral to supporting Center Forward’s growing programming and managing the increasing number of diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be inspired by our mission to provide centrist allies with the information they need to craft common-sense solutions and support those allies in turning those ideas into results.
The primary role of the Program and Outreach Coordinator in the organization is to support the Program Manager and the Outreach and Engagement Manager by developing, strengthening, and maintaining strong relationships with Center Forward stakeholders both on Capitol Hill and in the business and advocacy community, as well as coordinating and executing a robust agenda of dynamic and engaging programming throughout the year. The Program and Outreach Coordinator will succeed by:
- Assisting with planning, coordinating, and executing a robust agenda of programming to achieve organizational goals, including regular events in Washington D.C., the annual Domestic Issues Conference, and the annual International Issues Conference
- Developing, strengthening, and maintaining strong relationships with Center Forward stakeholders, including Members of Congress, congressional staff, business leaders, and advocacy groups
- Organizing and maintaining detailed files and records of all work to track goals, metrics, and definitions of success
- Managing internal CRM logs, including event tracking, attendee management, and updating stakeholder information
- Researching venues, locations, and speakers for conferences, managing attendee lists, event logistics, and venue contracts and guestlists
- Writing memos, sending invitations, booking venues, summarizing events, and managing follow-up communications for DC-based programming
- Tracking issues for and regularly engaging with key stakeholders through various mediums to connect them to Center Forward’s work and mission
- Working closely with ally conveners and policy organizations to promote Center Forward’s initiatives and programming
- Building broad brand identification and awareness within the business and political communities, both in Washington D.C. and beyond
- Representing Center Forward at events and speak professionally about the organization’s history, current work, and partnership opportunities
- Perform various other duties as assigned based on the needs of the organization

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in GSuite, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of government, legislative, and executive processes is helpful, but not required

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for the Program and Outreach Coordinator position (salaried, exempt) is $60,000 – $70,000 USD.
