The Office of Senator Mark Kelly seeks a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual to serve as either a Press Assistant or a Deputy Press Secretary on his active communications team. This role will be based in either the Washington, D.C. or Phoenix office and report to the Press Secretary. The ideal candidate has at least one year of political communications experience and has demonstrated strong professional writing skills. 

Primary responsibilities include drafting press advisories, statements, memos and other written materials for the department; writing speeches and remarks for the Senator; planning and staffing events in state; tracking and compiling news clips; and assisting the Communications Director and Press Secretary with Arizona reporter responses and pitching. 

Candidates with Arizona ties preferred, and written and verbal Spanish proficiency highly desired. This position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience and title, and is eligible for benefits.
