Job Description
The office of Senator Catherine Cortez Masto seeks a press secretary based in the Washington, D.C. office. The position’s primary responsibilities include drafting press releases, pitching, and responding to media inquiries while working with the rest of the communications team to develop and implement broader communications strategies. Candidates should be experienced leaders with 3+ years of experience in media relations, political communications, or a similar role. Applicants should be strong writers with on the record experience, and must be proactive, organized, and able to handle multiple assignments on tight deadlines. This position may require minimal travel. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is required. Nevada ties and Capitol Hill experience are not a requirement, but are preferred.
