Copywriter

The Biden for President campaign is seeking a Copywriter. The Copywriter is a digital native and driven with a passion for wordsmithing to be part of our in house Digital Content department.
As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for supporting the Digital Content team’s and their execution of content strategy across key social platforms. This individual will oversee the development of language and messaging across social platforms and creative and continue to assist in the growth and development of the campaigns overall social strategy.
The ideal candidate would have strategic copywriting chops across multiple touchpoints, platforms, and execution styles. This position will be based in Philadelphia, PA and report to the Director of Digital Content.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development of messaging
Create strategic high-level conceptual ideas from concept to copy development
Advance and develop a tone of voice and copy guidance
Interpret campaign objectives and feedback into compelling, audience-centric language
Practice an understanding of a wide variety of creative vision
Work closely with Communications, Policy, and other outside departments to come up with written creative based on needs
Draft and develop social copy in alignment with the defined voice and tone
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3-4 years of copywriting experience at an advertising agency or high-profile brand
A strong portfolio that shows conceptual thinking and storytelling
Able to adapt to any tone of voice seamlessly
Highly creative and imaginative, showing a mastery of tone of voice
Finds joy in character counts, post copy, hashtags, scripting, and proofreading
Excellent communication and presentation skills to persuasively explain and sell creative ideas within the agency and directly to clients
Project management experience
A passion for digital creative
