Operations Coordinator

Washington, DC – Above The Wall – Operations /Full-Time/ On-Site


House Majority PAC is an organization designed to hold Republicans accountable and help elect more House Democrats. House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that can take on the Republican outside groups in the battle for the House Majority.


Working closely with HMP’s CFO, Operations Coordinator assists with bookkeeping, financial reporting, human resources, and office management functions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial records and transactions.
  • Ensure payment of services for consultants and vendors
  • Manage and maintain office supplies and IT equipment, ensuring a well-stocked and organized work environment.
  • Handle various HR duties, including maintaining employee records and managing payroll processes.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and general office support.
  • Responsively address other duties as assigned to contribute to the efficient functioning of the organization.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED:

  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting Democratic values and causes
  • BA/BS degree and/or two or more years experience working in operations; Experience with bookkeeping required
  • Prior experience in federal campaigns, IE’s, nonprofits, and/or the U.S. House of Representatives is a plus, but not required
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities; ability to work independently and proactively
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible and adaptable as needs and priorities change; experience managing and adhering to multiple deadlines
  • Impeccable assertiveness, as well as discretion and diplomacy in handling confidential and sensitive issues
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Solid verbal, written, research, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong and demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office suite, (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Prior experience working with NGP, QuickBase, QuickBooks, a plus
  • Sense of humor, ability to have fun, and an interest in working within a high-performing team environment


Starting at $70,000 annualized, commensurate with experience
