Press Interns

Senator Schumer’s office has immediate openings for interns in the Washington, D.C. office. Responsibilities include compiling press clips, answering reporter inquiries, assisting with press conferences and press releases, talking points, and memos, conducting research, and assisting the press staff with the daily operations of a very active press office. Applicants must work well under pressure, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and a desire to learn. Previous experience is not required, but candidates with Northeast ties, who have an interest in communications, and a general understanding of government are encouraged to apply.
