Summary
This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), U.S. Trade Representative, which is responsible for WTO and Multilateral Affairs.
Duties
As a Policy Analyst (Trade), GS-0301-14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Leads or participates in U.S. delegations to international trade negotiations and conferences on issues affecting assigned area.
Prepares positions and strategies for consultations and negotiations with foreign governments on major trade issues in assigned area. Assists in these consultations when required.
Conducts economic analytical studies and develops reports and recommendations for U.S. policy positions on issues relating to negotiations and administration for assigned area.
Chairs or Serves on a variety of task forces and committees related to assigned area to analyze specific problems or issues related to assigned unit/office.
