Summary

This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), Office of Performance and Budget (OPB). The Senior Policy Analyst plans and carries out complex analyses to develop and manage drug control budget priorities and performance measures to support achieving the priorities of the National Drug Control Strategy.

Duties

As Senior Policy Analyst, some of your typical work assignments may include:

Plans and carries out broad and complex strategic policy analyses to develop and track performance measures and make recommendations on drug control program agency and program funding to achieve the policies and priorities of the National Drug Control Strategy.

Represents ONDCP to other agencies in highly complex policy, budget, and performance management areas to develop and coordinate interagency drug policy-related matters and to prepare joint work products.

Coordinates with senior representatives from other agencies regarding budget and performance submissions to ensure their compliance with statute, ONDCP circulars, and that they contribute to achieving the policies and priorities of the President's National Drug Control Strategy (Strategy).

Makes budget certification recommendations for assigned accounts and, if a budget is determined to be inadequate to carry out the drug strategy, identifies budget actions the Federal agency must take to make the budget adequate.
