- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a stellar lawyer to join Project Kuiper’s legal team. This lawyer will join a small team responsible for providing legal counsel on all aspects of Kuiper’s U.S. regulatory advocacy, including drafting regulatory advocacy and licensing filings, advising on regulatory issues, and supporting internal and external regulatory meetings. The lawyer will work with Kuiper’s technical teams, public policy team, and other stakeholders throughout Amazon to strategize and advise on the constellation of regulatory issues involved in designing and building a global satellite network.
Prior satellite or regulatory experience is helpful but not required. But a successful candidate must have the skills and curiosity to become familiar with the technical and regulatory aspects of our innovative constellation, satellites, software and ground-based infrastructure. Success in this role requires superb writing and analytical skills, excellent judgment in facing novel issues, a strong bias for action, creativity, collegiality, flexibility, and enthusiasm for our mission to connect the unserved and underserved around the globe.

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
