Job Description
Assemblymember-Elect Micah Lasher (AD 69) is seeking general submissions for resumes for potential positions based in his district office. Applicants must have strong interpersonal and communications skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
The Office is seeking applicants with the following skills and experiences:
- Managing constituent cases and working with appropriate agencies to solve constituent issues.
- Serving as a liaison between members of the community, government agencies, and the Assemblymember.
- Developing and drafting legislation and policy.
- Managing operations, office administration, and scheduling, including maintaining the calendar of events.
- Managing social media platforms, drafting public-facing communications, talking points, and working closely with the press corp.
- Planning events, press conferences, and rallies.
- Familiarity with New York City tenant protections and experience working in housing court.
- Fluency in Spanish.
