Wealth Management Executive Communications and Strategy
Part of Morgan Stanley Corporate Communications, the Wealth Management Communications team provides comprehensive internal and external communications support to all Wealth Management businesses.
The Wealth Management Executive Communications and Strategy team develops communications strategy, crafts messaging and coordinating & executing internal communications to 30,000+ employees. The team works directly with Wealth Management executive leadership and their teams to develop and implement strategic communication plans in alignment with overall Firm strategy and to help drive Wealth Management objectives and Field engagement, as well as the review and continuous improvement of current communications processes and channels.
The Wealth Management Communications Specialist is part of the Wealth Management Executive Communications and Strategy team, and will be responsible for acting as a communications advisor, assisting with communication planning, writing communications and supporting strategic projects across all channels for business areas within Wealth Management. This individual will also collaborate with internal partners within Wealth Management and Corporate Communications, including key leaders of business units, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Marketing

Primary Responsibilities
- Support Wealth Management Executive Communications and Strategy team to develop, maintain and implement communications strategy for senior executives and Wealth Management business areas.
- Create content and draft strategic messaging in support of business objectives and broader Firm strategy, as well as review, edit and manage production of internal communications (e.g. internal publications, videos, newsletter articles, talking points, FAQs, Field notifications, etc.).
- Develop comprehensive communication plans to support business objectives and provide communications guidance and feedback, including socialization to senior management.
- Manage the implementation and execution of communications, including review of distribution lists and processes, to successfully deliver communications to employees through a range of platforms and channels.
- Partner with Wealth Management businesses to gain a clear understanding of business initiatives and effectively translate them to communication objectives and strategies.
- Assist with the management and planning of national calls; includes responsibilities such as coordinating with key stakeholders, drafting & reviewing materials (presentations, talking points, communications), and day of execution.
- Provide project management support for special projects and high-visibility communications initiatives.
- Collaborate with other members of the Wealth Management Communications and Corporate Communications teams to ensure communication strategies incorporate a holistic view, including media and client components where applicable.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency of communications, reflecting strategic messaging and broader Firm objectives with consideration to risk, compliance and change management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.- Minimum 7-10 years professional experience. Communications experience preferred; financial services industry experience with a strong familiarity of Wealth Management preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong decision making, analytical evaluation, risk management, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.
- Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
- Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 110,000 and 190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
