Progressive member of the Senate Judiciary Committee seeking General Counsel. This is not an entry level position. The General Counsel will serve as the Senator’s principal aide on matters relating to the Judiciary Committee, as well as legal, legislative, and executive processes. Hill and Judiciary policy experience preferred, law degree required. This position assists the Senator in developing and executing a policy and legislative agenda in the wide range of areas within the judiciary portfolio and other legislative areas as needed and coordinates with other members of the Senator’s judiciary team. A competitive candidate will have advanced knowledge or expertise in a field of law or policy that is customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction and/or professional experience.
