Position Description:
BronxConnect is seeking a Court Liaison who can engage, support, and advocate for our youth and young adults.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conduct court site visits to engage with youth referrals
• Evaluate youth through the BronxConnect Intake process
• Creating and monitoring strategy plans for youth
• Attend, monitor and record youth legal proceedings
• Connecting youth referrals with BronxConnect case managers
• Observe and record the educational performance of youth
• Monitor mentor-youth relationships if one exists
• Conduct Seven Challenges-Brief (TM) sessions as needed
General Responsibilities:
• Personal development in light of the mission, vision and core values BronxConnect
• Assist with the development and implementation of programs, initiatives and/or interventions.
• Assisting with administrative responsibilities
• Promote the work of Bronx Connect through personal and professional contacts
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Experience working with court-involved youth.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking a plus!
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability and experience working collaboratively with a team of community professionals and with court professionals.
• Experience with drug/alcohol treatment, mental health services, co-occurring disorders, adolescent development, trauma-informed and strength-based approached preferred.
• Ability to work with people of diverse background. Comfortable working in a community-based, faith-based organization.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong writing ability required.

Bachelor's Degree
