Rep. Zoe Lofgren (CA-18) is seeking a full-time District Scheduler/Field Representative to join her San Jose District Office. This position operates full-time, in-person, requires a robust commitment to constituent services, flexible hours and availability on nights and weekends as well as a valid driver’s license. Candidates who have excellent judgement and organizational abilities, pay close attention to details, and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously are ideal for this multi-faceted position. Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.

Maintaining In-District Schedule for Member

  • Serve as the District Office's primary point of contact for constituents, elected officials, and nonprofit and advocacy organizations seeking meetings in the district with the Member;
  • Develop and execute the Member’s district schedule while anticipating and responding to day-to-day developments; and
  • Reports to District Chief of Staff and coordinates with Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations (DC) on scheduling logistics throughout CA-18,

Administrative Support

  • Serve as the welcoming and resourceful first contact people have with the office both in person and over telephone, and assist with constituents’ general requests for information;
  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties involved with managing the front office;
  • Assist with processing of mail, and input data into case management system.

Community Relations

  • Prepare congressional certificates of recognition and other correspondence as needed;
  • Participate in select office outreach efforts and attend events in the district on behalf of the Member;
  • On an as-needed-basis, drive Member to or from SFO and scheduled events while she is in the district; and
  • Additional responsibilities commensurate with skills and abilities.

Estimated Salary: $60,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience.
