As a Key member of RAINN's Communications team, the Speakers Bureau Coordinator serves as the main point of contact between RAINN, members of the RAINN Speakers Bureau, and those seeking speakers. The Coordinator works to market the Bureau to interested external parties, connect Speakers Bureau members with opportunities (both external and within RAINN), and nurture the bureau. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work with VP of Communications to develop an external marketing strategy for the Speaker Bureau. 
  • Work with VP of Communications and Social Media Manager to execute on marketing strategy for organizations seeking speakers. 
  • Research, develop, and nurture relationships with other organizations to develop speaking opportunities for Speakers Bureau members. 
  • Work with VP, Communications, and Press Secretary to identify and match Speakers Bureau members to media opportunities. 
  • Work with VP, Communications, Content Strategies, Social Media Manager, and others as needed to identify and match Speakers Bureau members to opportunities to be spotlighted in RAINN communications and campaigns. 
  • Maintain dynamic, engaging, and informative Speakers Bureau web presence on RAINN.org and social media. 
  • Review and respond to Speakers Bureau requests made via email, phone, and website. 
  • Review and process Speakers Bureau member applications, including background checks. 
  • Manage monthly Speakers Bureau newsletter. 
  • Manage Speakers Bureau database and list in Salesforce. 
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in a professional environment, marketing experience desired. 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • Strong personal initiative, team player, and a self-starter. 
  • Background in non-profit preferred. 
  • Program management experience and database management experience a plus. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other design software a plus. 
  • Commitment to RAINN's mission and goals.
  • Must complete a criminal background check (administered by RAINN).

This position is based in Washington, DC. Please note that RAINN staff are currently working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
