Job Description

About New_Public

We bring designers, technologists, futurists, and community-builders together to imagine a future of digital public life that serves democracy. Our work started when co-founders Eli Pariser and Talia Stroud asked what healthy societies need from digital spaces — not just in terms of harms, but in terms of the public goods they provide. With the Signals, we’ve developed a framework to inform the design of existing digital platforms but, more importantly, to inspire and shape the new platforms that will rise up in the years to come. We’ve kicked off this multidisciplinary conversation with a global community through our inaugural festival and are now bringing these ideas to life.

Our latest work is focused on our Community Lab, where New_ Public is building a team of designers, community experts, technologists, and researchers to generate and explore prototypes for public-spirited digital spaces.
