DEI Coordinator


Job Summary:

The DEI organization is passionate about supporting our people and culture inclusion strategies. In collaboration with Segment & Enterprise DEI as well as HR, this organization will provide subject matter expertise on relevant inclusion practices to business leaders and employees to develop and nurture an inclusive work environment where all employees can be themselves and thrive.

The Coordinator, DEI will support the implementation of inclusive people and culture strategies, including but not limited to employee engagement programs, internal and external partnerships, D&I special initiatives, training curriculum, communications, employee resource group development, and heritage month planning.

Reporting to the Director of DEI, and supporting several East Coast-based businesses including businesses within Disney Entertainment, this role will be part of the broader HR organization with the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Director of DEIB, which includes calendar management, booking travel, and submitting expense reports
  • Drafting/designing presentations, spreadsheets, and internal communications
  • Support Program Localization of broader Disney Entertainment DEI initiatives within East Coast-based Studio segments
  • Attending key meetings, taking notes, contributing to the ideation processes and ensure appropriate follow through of relevant action items discussed
  • Day-to-Day BERG management including monthly programming
  • Serving as the point of contact for vendors, external speakers, etc.
  • Co-facilitate DEI workshops and trainings on an as-needed basis

Skills/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of diversity, equity and inclusion experience, ideally with a global company or production studio
  • Foundational knowledge of DEIB principles, practices, and pillars
  • Team player, who values collaboration and works independently
  • Highly organized with project management skills
  • Ability to build proven relationships with employees and diversity of client groups, and gain dedication and support while aligning with the broader strategies, values and priorities
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidential information


The hiring range for this position in New York is $48,900.00-$67,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
